The Defender - INFJ

The Defender's primary state is internal; they handle matters based on their instincts. The secondary state is external, where they make decisions based on their feelings, emotions, or personal values. The Defender is a kind, caring individual who is also complex. Additionally, they're artistic and creative, living in a world of hidden meanings and possibilities.

The Defender pays great attention to organizing their surroundings neatly and systematically. They invest significant effort in discovering mechanisms and systems to accomplish tasks, constantly rearranging life priorities. However, their thought process follows spontaneity and intuition. They grasp and comprehend things instinctively, often without prior knowledge or an understanding of how they reached that comprehension. This can be accurate, although the Defender is aware of its limitations. Consequently, they heavily rely on instincts and gut feelings in their actions. This struggle between the Defender's external and internal worlds prevents them from being as strict as the "J" types or maintaining perfect order in their environment, sometimes leading to signs of disorder, like an untidy office.

Some Defenders possess an uncanny ability to anticipate and intuitively sense things related to people and situations. They often feel that something is or will happen to someone close. At times, they may not fully comprehend or express this feeling, causing most Defenders to be introverted, sharing only what they wish. They're deep, complex personalities, often seen as mysterious and challenging to understand. They consciously reserve a part of themselves, being perceived as enigmatic by others.

Despite their complexity, the Defender is equally gentle. They reserve a special place in their hearts for selected individuals, who witness the depth of love and loyalty the Defender holds. They're extremely sensitive to conflicts and struggles, finding it challenging to tolerate or deal with them effectively. Emotionally, they can be amiable and easygoing, but they hold high expectations for themselves and their families, seeking nothing less than perfection.

By nature, the Defender is nurturing, patient, service-oriented, and protective. These traits make them loving parents, often having a strong bond with their children. They hold high expectations for their children, always pushing them to excel. This might portray the Defender as stubborn and difficult to deal with. However, in general, Defender's children receive genuine dedication and guidance, alongside deep care and attention.

In the workplace, the Defender excels in roles that allow creativity and independent work. They possess an inherent artistic sense, and some Defenders shine in pure sciences, using their intuition effectively. They might also thrive in service-oriented fields. However, they struggle with meticulous work or tasks laden with details. They either ignore such work or become obsessively detail-oriented to the point of missing the bigger picture. Their obsession with details might lead them to harshly criticize individuals who don't prioritize minute details like they do.
